Inside Scoope

It was oficially announced that ABC has picked up Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as a series, debuting this fall.
That's right people, S.H.I.E.L.D agents from The Avengers is getting a spin off show. Cast includes:

Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge, Iain De Caestecker, Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen and Brett Dalton as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Clark Gregg reprises his role from the Marvel films as Phil Coulson in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which means that (and I'm just guessing) this series will take place BEFORE the events of the Avengers; since Agent Phil Coulson was killed off in that movie. It will also mean, we might not get any of the actual "Avengers" in the show; however, this would be a great way to explore all the other characters in the MARVEL Universe.

This isn't the first time a network has picked up comic book story lines as shows. Their was DC's "Smallville" (show on Clark Kent that ran for 10 years) and currently on the air for The WB "ARROW" (Story of the Green Arrow).

A quick note, both these shows aired on The WB network and If my memory serves right, this would be a first for ABC.  We'll just have to wait and see how that plays out in the future. But for now, I Approve !!!
